Home Learning for Friday 22nd March

It has ben so lovely to see so many of you this week. Thank you for coming to support our class museums. The children loved showing you what they have done. We hope you found the parent's meetings useful too. If you have any questions about the information we gave you, please contact us on year2@whiteleyapps.com.

* DON'T FORGET! Next Wednesday (27th) is our dressing up day. Please make sure children are dressed as a real royal person and that they can explain who they are. Thanks in advance for supporting us with this!

Here are you home learning activities for this week...

Reading

Please continue to read every day. This might be your reading book from school or a book from home. Don't forget, you can also log on to bug club phonics.

In phonics this week we have been looking at the 'ee' sound made at the end of words by the letters ey.

key

donkey

money

monkey

chimney

There are some spelling games here that you can play to practise this sound...

Maths

This week in maths we have been telling the time. We have looked at how each number represents 5 minutes if you are looking at the minute hand. You might like to practise reading the time on an analogue clock using this teaching clock...

Then once you are happy that you know what to do, you could try and play this game...

This week's activity...

This week we have been thinking about Easter in our RE lessons. This Sunday is Palm Sunday which occurs the week before Easter Sunday.

If you'd like to remember what happened on Palm Sunday you can watch this video...

Then you might like to make yourself a palm to wave on Sunday! Follow the instructions below...
