This week we have been looking at words where the 's' makes a 'zh' sound, and we have revised some homophones that we learnt last term.

Maths

This week we have begun recapping our learning about fractions. Remember each fraction is an equal part of a whole! You can watch this video to remind you...

Main task

This week we learned about Earth day which was recognised on Wednesday 22nd April. We all know how important Earth is. 

Share what you love about our Earth in a creative way. You could make a poem, poster, leaflet, song or dance to share your ideas and thoughts about Planet Earth. You could draw around your hand and make a pledge to help look after our precious planet.

It has been a busy week in Year 2. Thank you for the home learning messages that you have sent us over the last couple of weeks. Each class will take the lead in a performance with the two classes to support them with some singing. Here are the important dates for your diary… Tuesday 14 th October 2pm – 2S performance Wednesday 15 th October 2pm – 2R performance Thursday 16 th October 2pm – 2B performance Your child will only be on the stage on their class performance day, so please attend the correct day for their class!
