Home learning Friday 30th January

Image
We have had another busy week in Year 2. This past couple of weeks we have had a go at subtracting that crosses the tens boundary and telling the time using an analogue clock and writing the time digitally. Some children have found these quite tricky and so we may send home some activity sheets for your child to practise at home.  Please do not feel any pressure to complete these instantly or all in one go!  These worksheets do not need to be handed back in; they are simply a resource for you to use at home to see how your child is getting on and to support what we are doing in class. We will continue to practice these skills in school, so feel free to dip in and out of these activities whenever you have a spare moment at home. We appreciate all the ongoing support.  Don't forget! Next Thursday, we will be celebrating all of our learning about monarchs with a Kings and Queens dress up day. On this day we would like children to pick a  real  king or queen to dres...

It has been lovely hearing all the children's news this week and seeing them get stuck in with our history learning. Hopefully you received a curriculum newsletter this week with the information about our new learning journey. It's going to be a busy half term! Don't forget the important dates coming up... On Thursday 5th February we will be celebrating all of our learning about monarchs with a Kings and Queens dress up day. On this day we would like children to pick a  real  king or queen to dress up as. They can be from any country and any time period in history or the current day. You can still wear your Disney princess dresses, but we’d like you to pretend to be someone real rather than fictional. Some current royals even wear ‘normal’ clothes, so you might not need a fancy dress costume at all. The important thing is that the children find out about a real king or queen and ...
