Home Learning for Friday 20th March 2026

This term has flown by so quickly! Thank you for your support with all the activities and learning we have been doing. It was good to see so many of you at the meetings this week so we could show you how far your children have come!

Next Thursday (26th March) is our trip to the Art Gallery. There will be a parent mail reminder next week with all the details that you need to know.

Please remember that if you need to contact us about anything, you can use our email address

year2@whiteleyapps.com

Here are your home learning activities for this week...

Reading

As always, please read every day. This might be your reading book from school or a book from home. Don't forget, you can also log on to bug club phonics. The link is here...

Spelling

Here are the words we would like you to practise this week...

write

wrong

wrap

wreck

wrist

Why not have some fun with your spellings this week and try writing them forwards and backwards? It will help you to remember the order of the letters!

Maths

This week we have continued to solve multiplication and division problems. For most children, the division problems have definitely been more difficult!

Please watch the division video that we posted last week to see the methods we would use to solve division calculations and then set some problems for your child like these...

There is also a great guide here if you feel your child needs some more help...

This week's activity...

Next week we will be thinking about Easter in our RE lessons. Sunday 29th March is Palm Sunday which occurs the week before Easter Sunday.

We'd like you to find out some information about what happened on Palm Sunday by watching this video...

Write down what you have found out, or draw some pictures.

Then you might like to make yourself a palm to wave! Follow the instructions below...
