Home Learning for Friday 13th March 2026
Hello everyone!
Please don't forget that there are parent's meetings after school next week so that we can discuss your child's progress. If you have not signed up for an appointment yet, then please contact the school office to get booked in!
Here are your home learning activities for this week...
Reading
Please continue to read every day. This might be your reading book from school or a book from home. Don't forget, you can also log on to bug club phonics.

Spelling
In phonics this week we have been looking at what happens when you add the 'er' and 'est' suffixes to adjectives.
Can you spot which rules are being followed in your spelling words this week?
nice, nicer, nicest
brave, braver, bravest
late, later, latest
ripe, riper, ripest
Maths
This week we have been solving multiplication and division calculations.
If you want to see the methods that we use for multiplication and division, there are some videos here that you can watch.
Here are some games that you might like to try once you've practised some multiplication and division at home...

For the fishing game you will need to choose which skill to practise. In school, we have only learnt the 2, 5, 10 and 3 times tables, so choose from one of those!

This week's task...
In Science this week we have started learning about the life cycles of different animals.
At home, why not look at this lesson all about butterflies. There are some videos to watch and things to read. We will be talking about the life cycles of other creatures in class next week.
