Home learning for Friday 22nd November
What a busy week we have had! We have had another lovely week in school learning about dragons and we have started to make our dragon machines! Thank you very much for sending in boxes for this!
We also had a wonderful time at the Southampton Art Gallery! The children did a great job of engaging with the artwork and even had fun making dragon heads with clay! There are lots of exciting workshops and events coming up at the art gallery, have a look at their website and see what they have coming up:
Yesterday we also had a visit from some volunteers at the NSPCC. They spoke to the children about the "Speak out. Stay safe" campaign with Buddy the speech bubble. The children have been practicing the telephone number for ChildLine and they were shown the website where there are fun games to play. Here is the link for you to share with the children if you wish to:
Here are your home learning activities for this week...

You can practise these however you like. Look back at our previous home learning days for ideas such as bubble writing, rainbow writing or fancy letters.
Maths
After our unit on multiplication, we have also shown the children how to divide. This is a new concept foe them so some of the children may not yet feel confident about dividing. We will be covering division again in the Spring term. The children have learnt the concept them dividing can be solved either by grouping or sharing.
Watch this video to help you remember what division is all about...
