Home Learning for Friday 3rd October 2025
Hello everyone,
Thank you for your support with home learning so far this year. It has been great to see all the things you have been doing at home!
Please remember that it is an INSET day tomorrow (Friday 3rd October)!
We are very excited for you all to come and watch our 'Count your blessings' show in a couple of weeks! Please remember that the timings are as follows...
2S - Tuesday 14th Oct 2pm
2R - Wednesday 15th Oct 2pm
2B - Thursday 16th Oct 2pm
If you have some words to practise, make sure you can say them confidently!
Don't forget that there are also parents meetings during the week beginning 20th October. The office will contact you shortly, if they haven't already, so you can book an appointment. Please send us a message at year2@whiteleyapps.com if you need any help sorting an appointment.
Here are your home learning activities for this week...
Reading
As always, please read every day. This might be your reading book from school or a book from home. Don't forget, you can also log on to bug club phonics. The link is here...

This week we have practised lots of counting backwards from different 2 digit numbers.
Pick a number between 1-100. Count backwards all the way to 0.
Then you could try and play this game... (choose the option to count back)

This week’s task…
In our Computing lessons this half term, we have been thinking about how to stay safe when we use devices that are connected to the internet (laptops, tablets, phones.)
We know that many children in school use these devices and it is important that they learn at an early age to talk to you about what is safe to use or not.
The children have already used some resources from this site, but please look through them again and talk to your child about the videos/stories...
