We hope you had a restful and enjoyable Easter holiday! We have had a great first week back this week. The trip to Fort Nelson was fantastic and the children were mesmerized by the characters who took us around the fort.           Here are this week's activities: Reading Please continue to read every day. Hello everyone! We have a few messages and reminders for the next two weeks... Next week, the class museums will be open for you to see what the children have made in Discovery time! You can come and visit on Monday 18th March at 3pm, or on Tuesday 19th March at 8.30am. Please come to the classroom door and we look forward to seeing you then. There are also parent's meetings after school next week so that we can discuss your child's progress. If you have not signed up for an appointment yet, then please contact the school office to get booked in! Don't forget that on Wednesday March 27th, we are all dressing up as kings, queens, princes and princesses! These can be from any country and any period of history or those that are still alive! It must be a real royal person though and we will be discussing some facts about each person on the day so please make sure your child knows something about who they are dressing up as!  When we get back after the Easter holidays, we will

We are looking forward to World Book Day next week.       Hello everyone! Welcome back! We are ready for another fun filled half term. Hopefully you received a curriculum newsletter this week with the information about our new learning journey. It's going to be a busy time! Don't forget the important dates for this half term... Over the half term, children will be making a range of artefacts and we will be displaying these in a class museum in the penultimate week. We would like to invite you to come and look at our museums once they are done. You can either come and visit at 3pm on Monday 18th March, or at 8.30am on Tuesday 19th March. We look forward to seeing you then! On Wednesday 27 th  March we will be celebrating all of our learning about monarchs with a Kings and Queens dress up day. On this day we would like children to pick a  real  king or queen to dress up as. They can be from any country and any time period in history or the current day. You can still wear your Disney princess dresses, but we’d like you to pretend t

Happy half-term!

Happy Half term break! There won't be any official home learning set for you in the holiday. If you would like something to do, please look back over the last few weeks and revisit some of the spellings and maths games that we've put on the blog before. We'd love it if you kept reading every day too! We had a great final day of this half term celebrating the lunar new year. If you'd like to celebrate the lunar new year at home, there is some information here about what to do on each of the 15 days!!! First Day (大年初一) Many families serve all vegetarian dishes for their first meal as it is believed to help purify and cleanse out the body. Many other families have a big feast instead to celebrate the first day of the new year.  It is a day to visit other family members, starting from the oldest and most senior members of the family.  Some will visit temples hoping to be among the first group of people to pay respect to the gods and goddesses.  Firecrackers, dragon and lion
