Home learning Friday 25th April
It has been a great week back after the Easter break. We have enjoyed hearing the children talk about their time off. Although this has been a shorter school week, it has been jam packed!
Yesterday we had a wonderful time on our school trip to Fort Nelson. The children did a great job of representing Whiteley Primary School!
Here are this week's activities:
Reading
Please continue to read every day. This might be your reading book from school or a book from home. Don't forget, you can also log on to bug club phonics.

Spellings
This week and next we would like the children to focus on spelling the common exception words correctly. Please choose from the list, some words that your child is less confident at spelling and encourage them to use the range of strategies they have learnt to practice them.
Maths
This week we have been learning about angles, measuring the temperature using a thermometer and measuring capacity and volumes of liquid.
Have a look at these games to practise reading the scales on measuring equipment...

This week's task
This week's task is to find out as much as you can about Florence Nightingale (When was she born? What did she do? Why is she important?)
You might be able to remember some of the information you have learnt in school this week to explain to an adult at home.
Here are some websites that will help you find out even more about her:
