Home Learning for Thursday 1st October

Hello everyone,

Thank you for your support with home learning so far this year. It has been great to see all the things you have been doing at home!

Please remember that it is an INSET day tomorrow! (Friday 2nd October)

We are very excited for you all to come and watch our 'Count your blessings' show in a couple of weeks! Please remember that the timings are as follows...

Tuesday 13th October 9.15am – 2S performance

Thursday 15th October 9.15am – 2R performance

Friday 16th October 9.15am – 2B performance

If you have some words to practise, make sure you can say them confidently!

Don't forget that there are also parents meetings on different days during the week beginning 19th October. Please send us a message at year2@whiteleyapps.com if you need any help sorting an appointment.

Here are your home learning activities for this week...

As always, please read every day. This might be your reading book from school or a book from home. Don't forget, you can also log on to bug club phonics. The link is here...

Maths

This week we have practised lots of counting backwards from different 2 digit numbers.

Pick a number between 1-100. Count backwards all the way to 0.

Then you could try and play this game... (choose the option to count back)

This week’s task…

In our Computing lessons this half term, we have been thinking about how to stay safe when we use devices that are connected to the internet (laptops, tablets, phones.)

We know that many children in school use these devices and it is important that they learn at an early age to talk to you about what is safe to use or not.

The children have already used some resources from this site, but please look through them again and talk to your child about the videos/stories...

You can also find lots of resources here on our school website to support your own knowledge about how to keep your child safe online...

Please email us if you have any questions!
