Home learning for Friday 21st November 2025

Happy Friday!

We have had another lovely week in school learning about dragons and we have started to make our dragon machines! Thank you very much for sending in boxes for this!

If you have any crafty items that you are happy for the children to use to decorate their dragon machine, please send them in next week as we continue to decorate our machines.

Here are your home learning activities for this week...

Reading

As always, please read every day. This might be your reading book from school or a book from home. Don't forget, you can also log on to bug club phonics.

Spelling

Here are the common exception words we would like you to practise this week...

any

many

busy

water

again

You can practise these however you like. Look back at our previous home learning days for ideas such as bubble writing, rainbow writing or fancy letters.

Maths

This week we have been learning all about shapes. Watch this video to remind yourself about the properties of 2d shapes...

There is also a shape pattern game you can try here...

You might like to make your own picture by drawing different 2d shapes.

Then if you'd like a challenge, you could try this tangram game where you have to make new shapes from a variety of 2d shapes...

This week's task

In our Computing lessons we have been learning about algorithms. We have done this with the Beebots, but algorithms can be given in lots of different ways! Watch this short video to remind yourself about what an algorithm is...

Now think about this set of instructions. Can you order them correctly?
